Farm-saved seed
This oregano seed was saved from plants grown on our Missouri property. These perennial herbs produce aromatic green foliage with a slightly spicy, earthy flavor. They are well-suited for culinary and medicinal use, container gardens, and xeriscaping, and attract bees and other beneficial insects.
Coverage: 1 packet (0.07 grams) covers approximately 2.93 square feet
How to Use / Planting Notes
Seeds may be sown directly outdoors in spring or started indoors and transplanted. Sow 1/8 inch deep and space plants 8 to 10 inches apart. Keep soil evenly moist until seedlings are established. Once growing, plants are generally low-maintenance and drought-tolerant.
What the Plants Need
Light: Full sun
Soil: Average, well-drained soil
Water: Moderate, regular watering while establishing
Important Notes
This is farm-saved, open-pollinated seed sold without varietal designation. Natural variation may occur in plant height, leaf size, and flavor. No germination testing or performance guarantees are provided.
