Exploring the Origins of Giant Noble Spinach

'Giant Noble' Spinach is a member of the Amaranthaceae family from the Netherlands.  Developed in 1826, this heirloom variety has both male and female flowers on the same plant, which is unique among Amaranths.   Indulge in the unparalleled sweetness of Giant Noble Spinach, a favorite of Catherine de Medici herself, the trendsetter behind 'a la Florentine.'
